Based on Boris Pasternal's Nobel-Prizing winning novel, and the Academy Award winning classic starring Omar Shariff, Doctor Zhivago takes place during the collapse of Cazarist Russia at the end of World War I and the start of the Russian Revolution. Dr. Zhivago, a political idealist, is torn between his obligation to his devoted wife and his desire for the mysterious Lara Guishar. Competing for Lara’s affections are the revolutionary Pasha Antipov and the aristocrat Viktor Komarovsky
