Revival of Rodgers and Hammerstein beloved musical. Based on real life events The King and I tells the tale of Anna, a British school teacher, who is hired by the King of Siam (Thailand) as part of his effort to modernize the country. The fierce and mercurial King meets his match in the strong willed Anna. Through their conflicts, respect develops and a love that neither can act on emerges.

The musical premiered in 1951 to critical acclaim and won multiple Tony Awards, including Best Musical. For the revival Oscar nominee Ken Watanabe plays the King, a role made famous by Yule Brynner. Four time Toni nominee Kelli O’Hara stars as Anna. The play is directed by Tony Award and Drama Desk Award winner Bartlett Sher.
