Located in the Lower East Side, Economy Candy is New York City's oldest retail candy shop. Having opened in 1937, it is now run by its third generation husband and wife team.

Cookie Lab is an interactive experience designed to explore the interplay between our smell and taste. When we talk about the flavor of something, 70 - 80 % of that actually comes from the smell of that particular food. Without smell, food would have little to no flavor. Cookie Lab is designed to invite participants to experience how smell influences how we perceive taste. In doing so, we want to inspire participants to reflect on how sensory information constructs our living experience.

Una is an experienced designer and artist based in New York. Her work invites people to reconsider the familiar from unexpected perspectives, often through food and multi-sensory experiences.
