Join us for a hands-on, interactive, wine tasting experience that repurposes the current MOFAD exhibit, Flavor: The World to Your Brain, for wine. You will taste your way though the science, history, economics, politics, and culture of wine.

Discover the science of sweet wine, take the acid test, and go on the great grape migration. We will explore how your brain, memories, and emotions affect your wine enjoyment and preferences.

Rebel School of Wine is the new book from Tyler Balliet and Morgan First. The duo are the founders of Rosé Mansion, the social media famous wine pop up, and Wine Riot, a traveling wine festival. For almost two decades they have been creating innovative and educational wine tasting experiences. Come hang out with them as they put on this unique and intimate event.

This program is 21+. Ticket includes access to Flavor: The World to Your Brain as part of the wine tasting experience with 5+ wine samples (about 2 glasses of wine) included in the ticket.

The program will begin promptly at 7:00PM. Please arrive at least 5 minutes before program start time. The last guided session is at 8pm, so please arrive by 7:45pm at the latest.

Copies of Rebel School of Wine can be pre-purchased in a ticket bundle and will also be available for purchase at the event.

Tyler Balliet is an entrepreneur, author and leading wine expert. In May 2024, Tyler released Rebel School of Wine, a visually stunning wine guide for the next generation. Written with Millennials and Gen Z in mind, the book is filled with fun facts about the history of wine, as well as where and how to drink it -- the easy-to-read format and vibrant, hand-drawn illustrations makes it the ultimate go-to resource for curious minds.

Tyler has been recognized in Inc. Magazine’s 30 Under 30 and Wine Enthusiast’s 40 Under 40. Tyler has traveled all over the world judging wine competitions and interviewing key figures in this ever-growing industry. Tyler currently resides in New York City and can be found making pasta from scratch while watching Formula 1 and planning their next trip to an obscure wine region.
