Former Momofuku partner and chef Joaquin Baca cashed in his chips with the successful David Chang to create his own space in Williamsburg, the rustic and attractive Brooklyn Star, where southern flavors and soul food get a handmade home. After the minor setback of the original location burning right down to the ground, Baca and Co. are back up and running in a new location.
