You can't miss the huge cow mounted above the Old Homestead's entrance, and this old-school steakhouse continues to please, even after nearly 140 years. While its newer neighbors such as Pop Burger symbolize the current trends in Meatpacking District dining, the charming and convivial atmosphere of Old Homestead make it perhaps worth the high prices. The Old Homestead suffered a bit of a blow in early 2009 when its southernmost dining room space got chopped away due to a lease expiration.
