Barbara Feinman Millinery

80 E 7th St

Combining elegance of design with impeccable workmanship, a fashion-forward eye—and a dash of whimsy—Barbara Feinman's hats are sought after by a growing and varied clientele. After selling for several years to a number of exclusive retailers—from Barney's to small specialty stores around the country—Feinman established her own atelier and shop in June 1998 in the heart of New York's East Village. Operating out of a tiny, golden-lit, romantic space, Feinman has earned a reputation as a talented milliner who can create just the right hat for each client.

Barbara Feinman Millinery is one of very few New York shops where hats are actually made on the premises. The hats are hand-blocked and hand-crafted from start to finish, using techniques and equipment that have scarcely changed since the 19th Century.
